Gutters
We offer grooves of all kinds in different materials and paints
Roofing products such as gutters and downspouts are an important part of every house, as they help prevent various damages that can be caused by water. The materials from which gutters are made are plastic, aluminum, copper or sheet metal. In very rare cases around the world, gutters are not needed on houses, but this is not the case here, so sooner or later you will have to buy new gutters and downspouts.
The gutters that we usually use are mainly divided into two categories, which differ from each other in terms of their use and shape. Semicircular and square gutters are the most commonly used in Slovenia.
The most commonly used type of gutter in Slovenia, which is available in different dimensions, 25, 28 and 33 cm wide. They are available galvanized or aluminum, in different color shades.
This gutter shape is not as common as perhaps the semi-circular gutter shape, but it is increasingly being used. Just like semicircular gutters, square gutters are available in various materials and colors, and they also differ in dimensions.
Gutters usually need additional elements, such as kettles, which connect them to drain pipes. They also need corners to connect with other gutters, installation hooks and dirt traps to prevent clogging of drain pipes.
Drainage pipes are those that connect the kettle to the gutter and through which the storm water then drains. They are available in various diameter dimensions, materials and colors, so that they match with other roofing and carpentry products.
Boilers are that part of the plumbing construction that connects the gutter to the drain pipe. They are available in various materials and dimensions to fit the gutter and drain pipe.
Corners are connectors that connect two gutters in the corner of the roof, also available in matching dimensions and materials.
The task of the water catcher is to divert the storm water that flows from the drain pipes into e.g. rainwater collector.
Impurity catchers are, so to speak, water filters that are installed on the kettle and prevent clogging of the drain pipe with leaves or moss, especially in autumn.
The edging is intended to finish the roof with them, which is necessary from an aesthetic point of view, as well as a functional one. These are made of aluminum, steel or stainless steel material, in various colors and lengths, bent according to the customer's wishes.
The prices of gutters depend entirely on: your needs, on the surface of the roof, which also affects the width of the gutter itself, the material from which it is made, the diameter, the type of installation and the roofing and carpentry contractor. The prices of gutters per meter start at 5 EUR. The prices of drain pipes are very similar, the prices of finishing edges start at 4 EUR per running meter.
Gutter warranties are completely different depending on the manufacturer and type of gutter. The shortest warranties are obtained when purchasing PVC gutters, and the longest for copper or titanium gutters.
Stocks of gutters mainly depend on their width, as gutters of standard widths such as 25, 28 and 33 cm are always in stock, while other dimensions such as 40 and 50 cm are available upon request.
The lifespan of the gutters varies considerably between the gutters themselves due to the materials from which the gutters are made. PVC gutters have the shortest lifespan - between 10 and 15 years. The most often chosen are gutters made of painted sheet metal or aluminum, which have a lifespan of between 20 and 30 years. The longest service life is achieved by gutters made of copper or titanium , which can reach a service life of over 70 years with proper maintenance.
Most often, we decide to change the gutters when we change the roofing. Sometimes, however, there is a need for replacement or repair when the gutters are damaged or useless. Sometimes the problem can be solved by repairing the existing ones, but when the damage is too great, for example when the gutters are punctured, they need to be replaced.
